A still-injured World No. 1 Serena Williams hosted a Hampton Magazine Cover party in New York City on Wednesday.  Williams was on hand to celebrate the efforts of the Diamond Empowerment Fund, a non-profit organization developed by the tennis superstar and her partner, Russell Simmons.  The DEF provides funding and supports education for underprivileged individuals in Africa.

The 28-year-old stopped to take pictures before and during the event, looking stunning in a leopard-print mini.
